I think it's perfectly acceptable, except for if you've forgotten who gave it to you in the first place, and you end up giving it to someone this person knows and sees often, or worst case scenario, you give it back to the SAME person who gave it to you originally. It's a grand idea actually, because someone is getting a lovely gift that you couldn't use. This way, it's not gone to waste, right?

I'm an Au Pair in Switzerland right now and I'm not exactly the cheery totally outgoing type you would expect for such a position. I have virtually no friends here to talk with in person. Travel to anywhere there is actually people to meet is too expensive, so I can't really go out. (Not that I'm much for that anyway, at least not by myself.)

I just before Halloween gave myself dreadlocks and I can practically feel disapproval radiating from my boss. But it's possible that that's just me projecting my lack of confidence. (Baby dreads are definitely not the prettiest things ever by any stretch.) Aside from that, I've had a shit week and no one to bitch with.

I need an out so badly it hurts! In fact, I'm really starting to want to go home, but I know that there's not anything exciting waiting for me there either. I don't know what to do with my life!

And you know what's strange? I am way more comfortable talking about private stuff with strangers than my friends and family.

I want to talk about something, but can't really think of much to talk about. Maybe I don't have a life or simply the fact that all week long I go to work, come home, go to work, then come back home. Get the picture? Then to make things worst is the fact that I work swing shift and don't get a lot of social interaction. A lot of my tribes seem very quiet. I think that people posting thoughts are similar to people singing karaoke and a bar. Not many people have the balls to go up and give there best shot, but will be willing to be a critic. Others will give their best and feel good about their performance and not care about the critics and offer support and applause for others to make the bold stand.

Years ago after my college I had this job as researcher we travelled many places all over nation were just like an army assigned to a different places and do research for few days somethings weeks atmost months. Its hard to denied that there is seniority among with in the company being an old one I usually be with at my same age because we have same understanding but on the side I actually be with also to the person ahead of my on the company but its hard to serve two masters at a time. Being away with my family I usually go out with my collegue that I considered also a my friends. Were six members that we called our group as "DIABLO" not necessary that were evil were just making things that making us happy because we want to have night life as our gateaway from working and travelling even my last single cent I give to them cos they are important to me they are my friends what I have, have to share for better or for worse were friends. I was actually unfair for my other friends because i have no time for them every time i was invited i had many excuses, many alibis I forget that they are also my friends that need my time as well but there was one incident that i never thought thats really happend to me. when i had this problem when i was kicked out from work they kicked me out also from being their friend. they left me amidst of my problem as when i was hanged they didnt even turn their back to see me. that time my head was in trouble, my stomach was hangry, my pocket was empty, i dont have house to stay as in i was nothing than a rug there was this friend came up from nowhere helped me gave me food, money, and let me stayed her house with out saying in anything she just let me felt how importance for her being friend. From then on although its painful I have to left them with no hesitation no turning back like what they did to me. It took me some time to trust a friend I was hard then and inconsiderate. I help only to those who helped me which my heart was really close about having friends which eventually I was the one affected though because not all people are the same what was my ex-friends did will no longer be the same for my future friends. As of now they are times that i am wondering how are they because since then I have no more information about the groups the last information I got some of them left the company got married and found another job. I have many friends but there are few that I can considered as really a "Friends". Finding friend is like we are looking gold bars.

I had a veggie wrap with cilantro on it for lunch. At LEAST an hour later I discover cilantro on my top front tooth.
I had talked, AND LAUGHED with a few co-workers, went out in public and talked to people, came back, talked to a parent, and then went to the bathroom and made my discovery.
I would let a person know "hey, you have something on your tooth" in a discreet manner, wouldn't you? For Pete's sake I probably talked to 15 people, not ONE of them could let me know I had a garden in my mouth?!

I just have to ask.. Ok With the guy that I’m seeing now I came up with this brilliant way to give the best had jobs in town… The reason I did was because my boyfriend and others before him never liked getting hand jobs and they’d say things like they could do it better the self’s and stuff… (and I would rather give had jobs then blow cus that just gets me more messy) so one day.. I saw this old leather jacket that was not wearing anymore so I cut a square like big enough for my guys “ding dong” and washed it.. so it was clean and then proceed to put Vaseline one it… and then I gave…My boyfriend a hand job that way and He LOVED it! he liked it way better with the leather square and Vaseline.. that he Told me he’s now using a leather Square when he jerks off and he said it better then his hand…I’m I the only one who has come up with this grate way to get my guy off…and BOYs And MEN what do you think of the leather Square and Vaseline ?

before i moved to america i had always lived in social democracies, so health care was no problem.
i find that people from those countries can never grasp the meaning of not having it, while people here cannot grasp

Hey, I was wondering if anyone out there has lived in a city other than the one they have now.
I am originally from Alaska, having studied in Seattle, i decided to study for a while in Berlin, Germany.
More to the topic of the tribe, meeting people. It is different here. So different.
The berliners are said to never smile, but "one should not be afraid of them because of it, it is just that they are afraid to be the first to smile." Having lived here for a while, it is interesting how the first thing germans will say about people from my part of the world is that, americans always are smiling and everything seems okay, but they never want to talk about serious things. Every single time, when i have asked a german, who has studied abroad, about meeting americans, this is the only answer i get.
That said, it is difficult to talk to strangers here. Almost as if it is an offense to want to get close to people. Sometimes you can see people watching you, they'll look up, look you in the eyes for seconds as if begging you to be the first to walk over to them, and then they will look away almost as if ashamed that they could want something. There are set rules to meeting people which i have not figured out yet, but here is a tip for those of you who may want to live in the northern part of germany. If a german asks you a question like "how are you doing?" or "did you have a good week?" they actually want to hear the truth and not "oh, it was fine."
Beyond, having lived here a while, i have met some people, and had i more time, i believe they would be very close and personal friends indeed, every single one of them. Even the first night that i have met some of them, having helped them "schlepp" home a friend, impressed them enough so that in turn, for my birthday they helped "schlepp" home me ;). That is one thing, which i have rarely experienced outside of my home town, is the fact that these people i have met would never leave me in a bad situation, because i'm someone they know.
Now, just to cross over the abyss-like gap between the people here and actually touch someone's mind...
(You try that, with a language gap, body language gap, and socio-political history gap).
Now, to anyone else out there.... Has anyone lived in other cities? Beijing? Paris? Moscow? Lisbon?

Not sure if you have heard the rumours, but Tribe is in serious financial trouble. The revenue streams from Google ads have not been
enough to support the operations of Tribe. You may have noticed increased outages and downtime due to this.

I love Tribe. I think it is the best content-driven community web site. I loathe Facebook and MySpace (my perogative). I am even willing to pay
and monthly fee of $5 per month to keep Tribe alive. I don't know if that would be enough.

Some of the Tribes I moderate and participate in are part of my daily life.

I have met some quality people on Tribe and interacted in communities
around the world.

I know it may be old to a lot of you long timers but I was just curious about how others feel about the giving and recieving of oral sex?

What bugs you?

I don't mean the world's major problems. Not Iraq or damage to the environment, those issues bug most of us. I mean the little things that get on your nerves ...

I've always had this thing about people who don't know how to queue properly. I don't mean those who push in, but those who stand nowhere near the first person in the line. Most of us have this inherent radar that tells us how close you can stand behind someone to qualify your position in a queue. Not too close, not too far away. But some people's radars are way off. Either that or they just don't give a damn. In this case, a third person (assuming that the second person is the queue nerd) finds him or herself in no man's land, not knowing if in fact it is a queue or not. It's more like a bunch of people just standing around. Then a 4th person comes along, someone with a little more sense and stands where they ought to stand, thinking surely these guys aren't in the queue, and before you know it, they've jumped in front of you. All because the second guy, the queue nerd, didn't queue properly.

So what bugs you?

reparing brain damage...

I was wondering if anybody knows the best foods to eat to help...ah... repare brain damage...
I have been trying to relax and eat more vitamen C, potassium, and calcium, but is there anything else specific I need to do?
I just got back from the Burn and well, I really out did myself in intoxications, its hard to sleep and when I do finally wake up my head is pounding and tingling. I will be taking it easily for awhile, but what can I do?

That's sort of the idea really, is to meet new people. I'll do the same. It'll be good times. And on that note, what does everyone here do for fun. If you had to pick the perfect night out, what would it include?

@#$%^ - For me, it would involve a long bike-ride along a stretch of beach, followed by a dinner of hot sake and sushi with a few close friends. Then we'd all sit somewhere and play balderdash and pool and rummikub and foosball in front of a fire-place. After that, Maggie Gylennhol would seduce me, but that might be too much to ask. Anyhow, other than that I'm fairly easy to please, and I accomplish my perfect night out with some regularity (but alas, no Maggie). So how about you?
