Sat, January 19, 2008 - 7:48 AMi know it sounds silly, but the thing that brings me comfort (aside from my bf) is stopping on the way home at starbucks and going inside with a book. My bf lives 160+ miles away and i make the drive every week, so the stopping at starbucks thing to me is very nessesary. I go inside with a novel and order a coffee, and dont leave until the coffee is completely gone.
it is a nice way to unwind. :) -

and yet, i am instantly put at ease when i see snow. so soft and muffly.
otherwise, flannel. flannel sheets, flannel shirts (on my guy, or me wearing his), the flannel lining of my old fashioned sleeping bag.
chicken soup from an authentic mexican restaurant (it will have whole pieces of chicken and avocado and garbanzo beans and a warm stack of flour tortillas on the side)
certain people--to date 4, that instantly put me at ease, no matter what my state of mind. these four people i believe to be my soulmates. -
