I'm an Au Pair in Switzerland right now and I'm not exactly the cheery totally outgoing type you would expect for such a position. I have virtually no friends here to talk with in person. Travel to anywhere there is actually people to meet is too expensive, so I can't really go out. (Not that I'm much for that anyway, at least not by myself.)

I just before Halloween gave myself dreadlocks and I can practically feel disapproval radiating from my boss. But it's possible that that's just me projecting my lack of confidence. (Baby dreads are definitely not the prettiest things ever by any stretch.) Aside from that, I've had a shit week and no one to bitch with.

I need an out so badly it hurts! In fact, I'm really starting to want to go home, but I know that there's not anything exciting waiting for me there either. I don't know what to do with my life!

And you know what's strange? I am way more comfortable talking about private stuff with strangers than my friends and family.
