Re: Physical characteristics
Wed, December 12, 2007 - 8:48 PMit is the whole person. If they are able to grab my attention and if i can feel some electric chemistry than i am totally different than when this feeling is absent. This does not happen often but when it does it can and often does change your whole being.
I look at eyes, facial structure,body-style,personality etc. sometimes it is an overwhelming feeling of having known this person before or deja vu.
Sometimes it is sexual and erotic or spiritual and or stimulating, but whatever it is it always grabs a hold of me like gangbusters and will not let go.I have only experienced this about 5 times in my whole life and it changed me every single time.

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, November 15, 2007 - 12:25 AMBreathing?
Ok I guess that ones too easy. LOL
To be honest the first thing that strikes me is the oddities. The ones that are slightly out of place and somehow heighten beauty just by existing. For instance Laura San Giacomo she's a very attractive lady in general but for some reason, and I find it impossible to really explain it, the way her mouth and teeth are with the slight gap just make her that much more attractive to me. Lucy Liu is another with her for me it's her eyes and that slight up turn to her nose. Jennifer Tilly is another aside from her quite obvious assets her voice just does it for me. To me all of these women are uniquely beautiful and more so because of their "flaws". And with every single one of them it's something different. So rather than being able to nail it down to a single characteristic it's the things that set them apart from the norm I guess. That's the best way I can describe it anyway. And I find so many variations of this "thing" in so many different women that so often I'm drawn in by it like a moth to a flame. Oh that I weren't middle aged, baggy, and having little income! But I take my little joys where I can and enjoy the sights and sounds around me each and every day. -

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, November 15, 2007 - 7:22 AMI think it's eyes and smile. But, really it's demeanor. I value intelligence over looks anyway.

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, November 15, 2007 - 11:06 AMHair. To me from a strictly physical perspective, it makes or breaks a person's looks. -

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, November 15, 2007 - 5:10 PMI like the hair too. In women; I adore red heads. I think that naturally, they are so beautiful and unique. I like brown eyes because they are soft and not as crisp and piercing as blue. I think petite women are preferable to big girls, but I don't mean overweight. Even overweight girls have a wonderful attraction. When dealing with dudes, I think a guy should look masculine. a whimpy look on a guy I feel is almost repulsive and brings out the bully in me. I like people that smell good. I'm repulsed by the smell of BO on men, but on women it dosn't bother me in the slightest. I think a universal characteristic of beauty is symmetry in the face and body. Then there is the "X" facter. I think in men it's that square jaw, kick your ass look in the eye and the thing that enables some guys to do a double back flip on a Yamaha 250. In women, it's that quality that some have that can stop your heart with a look from across the room. It's hard to define that X thing that makes you say, "oh fuck yea!" when you see it in someone. Then there is that quirky thing, I know!.....Rosanna Arquette has it. -

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, November 15, 2007 - 10:19 PMI love the red heads. Although, prefer dark green eyes.

Re: Physical characteristics
Mon, November 19, 2007 - 3:12 PMlol @ "brings out the bully in me".
lobo is funny.
and me too on smell; ah, that smell that you can hardly smell, that makes you want to sniff over and over again.
and shiny eyes, sparkly, dress-up eyes, as in dress-up for a celebration.
i think the most appealing to me is the way a man looks at me, when there is some softness and warmth.
i love backs, too. in both sexes. and shoulders.

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, December 6, 2007 - 11:18 AMEyes - I love, love, love green or hazel-green eyes and I like thick eyebrows and long eyelashes.
Height - I am tall (5'10"), so I like men who are 5'11" or taller
Build - I like guys who are a little on the chubby side. What I really like is guys who once had muscle tone and definition but now have the soft tummy and arms over that underlying muscle. I like cuddling up next to a nice tummy pillow. Broad shoulders are nice too.
Hair - dark and thick
Teeth - I like imperfect teeth. I was really upset when I saw that Vincent D'onofrio got veneers after going years with that front tooth askew. Matthew Perry too, he just looked weird and plastic after getting his teeth fixed.
I like freckles - My last boyfriend was multiracial and he had a few freckles scattered on his tan-olive skin.
I feel really picky now but all of the guys I have dated pretty much fill this criteria and it happened purely by accident, I wasn't seeking them. Well maybe not consciously.
But, oh man, writing this makes me want to call my ex-boyfriend...but then I remember he's a jerk!

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, December 6, 2007 - 3:03 PMWell I am definitely attracted to those of the Irish decent, meaning blue eyes, redish/blondish hair. little or no hair is fine by me but a sense of humor can really go a long way, if u can make me laugh...

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, December 13, 2007 - 7:47 PMI don't have a type at all. Right now the two men I have a connection with are VASTLY different. One is 6 ft and has dark beautiful hair well past his butt. He is tall and thin thin thin. He doesn't work out, but he's muscular from his job. He's not really educated, and he's from Virginia, and he talks with a slight accent. He's a metalhead into dragons and things somewhat dark. His living situation is beyond bad, but he's a wood craftsman and he's made the one room he lives in gorgeous, with medieval weapons and his guitars mounted on the walls. The other is bald. He's a firefighter, and he is into nutrition and fitness. He's got a body that would make Troy cry with envy. He grew up in a well to do family and is educated, and he has a gorgeous home with fountains and beautiful decor.
The thing they have in common, with each other and with other men I've been involved with, is a sense of confidence and sexual energy to burn. It radiates from their wicked grins like none other....
Chemistry does it for me. I typically like brown eyes, too, but these guys both have blue blue eyes.

Re: Physical characteristics
Fri, December 14, 2007 - 8:00 PMI'm a sucker for a smile a real one the kind that lights a room.

Re: Physical characteristics
Fri, December 14, 2007 - 11:13 PMEyes. Clear, piercing, focused.
Exotic look.
Smile. Some faces, when they smile, light up and shed worries.
Beautiful motion. Sometimes it is elegance, sometimes it is just energy and life. -

Re: Physical characteristics
Wed, December 19, 2007 - 11:39 AMi'm first and foremost attracted to a man's sense of humor and his intelligence...i think as i mature, looks mean less and who and what a person is becomes everything. I love someone who has never outgrown his ability to play, be funny, laugh at the absurdity of the world and who is loving & open minded...i've never outgrown my attraction to men who are creative and sensitive. -

Re: Physical characteristics
Wed, December 19, 2007 - 12:12 PMThe smell of a person is what really hooks me. Phermones have to be in balance. A musical voice. Thick curly hair. Soft skin. Sparkly eyes are a must! But the third Eye is the sexiest of all;)

Re: Physical characteristics
Wed, December 19, 2007 - 12:37 PM>> i'm first and foremost attracted to a man's sense

For me it is a womans intelligence, gentleness and compassion, and her humor. For me, physical attributes are not nearly as important as the spirit that lights them from within.

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, December 20, 2007 - 1:25 PMIf we're talking purely physical, all personality and smarts aside, I like 'em wiry, on the tall side, with a scruffy face and nice collar bones.
In a not-purely-physical sense, the ability to make me laugh uncontrollably is a must, as are good manners and the gift of being a good conversationalist. -

Re: Physical characteristics
Sat, January 19, 2008 - 11:27 PMSmile!
I love a beautiful smile!
Eyes come in and for me the darker the better, I don't really care for blue eyes...green are okay and I hate to be restrictive, I happen to prefer dark eyes, in fact, dark complexion as well, dark hair, yeah!
I like men who have a rather narrow waist, not a wide one, and one strange thing I am really into is a man's forearms!!!!
That is something I am going to look at very fast, I love forearms and some a just sexy to me haha, I know it's crazy.
Today I had a nice date and well, everything is beautiful about him but yes I loved his forearms, if you read this, your forearms are darn sexy!!!
Ok, enough of that...
What else...?
A neck, a beautiful neck can be really special to me...hmmmm

Re: Physical characteristics
Mon, February 25, 2008 - 6:00 AMEyes, first. Then, mouth. Then, height. Then, hair. Then, ass. Then, legs. Then, feet. Then, tummy. Then, breasts. -

Re: Physical characteristics
Wed, April 16, 2008 - 2:26 PMI guess from a distance where I can see all physical attributes, which means no conversation :-(
Shape, ie an hourglass. So breasts on the larger size (eg DD and up) and a good sized ass too (like you'd see in a rap video)!
I think seeing ribs is a turn off, so no thin women.
Long hair is nice, either straight or "big hair" like Diana Ross hair or even afro.
I like skin to have tone to it, no pasty white women for me, so a tan, or be naturally darker, even to some who is so black they're blue.
Closer, I do like interesting eye color, even if they're contacts.
Smiles are 100% important, and good size lips, I don't want to kiss a lizard!
Overall... those non-smiling, stick-like, pasty white, cat-walk models are NOT what I think is attractive. So if you're one of these, I understand there are plenty of guys who like you and want to date you, and that's ok. Me... maybe we'll have a good conversation, but my interaction is only going to be platonic.

Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, March 6, 2008 - 9:32 PMBased purely on looks I'd say.. dark captivating eyes, then paired with nicely shaped, sensual lips.
Oh! and hands. Graceful, yet strong hands.
-
Re: Physical characteristics
Fri, March 7, 2008 - 3:50 PMHead shape - I like men with larger heads (big brains) & a strong jaw-line!
Hands - nice hnads and feet in boht men and women....
Full lips (in women friends) - a full mouth seems to say "friendly!"
-
Re: Physical characteristics
Thu, March 27, 2008 - 1:37 PMSpeaking purely in physical terms,
1. collar bones
2. I'm a sucker for a guy who smells good.
3. Big or rough - but gentle! - hands.
Personality wise, lots of brains, an enjoyment for reading, and a great laugh and sense of humor are a must!
-
Re: Physical characteristics
Fri, March 28, 2008 - 7:36 AMeyes. I look for a depth of soul, an intensity, a spark of intelligence...and that certain soft look that is saved just for me...
other than that, generally a funky or quirky appearance. this tells me the person is into pushing the envelope a bit, expressing themselves freely and challenging convention. -
-
Re: Physical characteristics
Sat, March 29, 2008 - 11:50 AMI have given this some more thought, and what I think I see first and foremost is an open, kind expression. If a guy seems full of himself or walled off, I don't go there.

Re: Physical characteristics
Sat, March 29, 2008 - 3:23 PMEyes--windows to the soul.
